I absolutely love the festive season, the run up to Christmas is such a magical time and I am always guilty of starting too early and going over the top, although you can't have too much festive cheer anyway! Anyway I have narrowed it down to my current 6 Festive Favourites at the moment, take a look to see what our November is all about this year! First up, this gorgeous reed diffuser from Harris-Williams. Some of you will remember I received a beautiful Lavender and Rosemary one earlier in the year, and I was over the flipping moon to hear they were bringing out three seasonal blends. Who doesn't want their house to smell of magical holidays all the time? Grinches, that's who. This fragrance is No1 Festive Spice which smells of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with zesty orange and red berries. It's honestly the perfect festive scent and our living room smells wonderful now! The diffusers come with 8 reed sticks and you can add more over time, we started with 3 and the scent is still going strong so it will definitely outlast the festive season! You can also try Winter White or Frosted Evergreen too! Next up it's time for CHRISTMAS BOOZE YESSSS. I've included two here, an alcoholic bottle and a non alcoholic one for the breastfeeders/preggos/general non drinkers. On the left is Ikea's Vintersaga, a mulled fruit drink. Be prepared it's quite sweet, but for £2.95 a bottle it's fab and I had so many glasses last Christmas when I was still breastfeeding round the clock and trying not to drink too much alcohol. On the right is Tesco's Mulled Wine which is £3.50 a bottle and it's alcoholic (10%). This is less sweet and has a lovely orange aftertaste, and for a festive drink it gets my vote every time. I do like an occasional Bailey's but generally I live on Mulled Wine from November - January. Christmas book next, this is The Christmasaurus by Tom Fletcher, and it came out last year. I read it when I was pregnant with Ozzy, then we read it to him in December when he was just weeks old. It's a really lovely story for kids and adults, and I think we'll start a family tradition of reading it with Ozzy every year. Another Ikea purchase, obviously. This Vintersaga gingerbread house comes flatpacked (obvs) and its basically a little kit to create your own house. The pieces are there, you just need to ice it and put it all together. I'm so excited for us to make this together next month, and then eat it! I do like cooking gingerbread men but I wasn't up for attempting to make a gingerbread house from scratch, especially when I saw this for £2.95 in the Christmas Market section of Ikea. This is my favourite nail polish for Autumn and Winter. It's a lovely burgundy colour and one coat is enough for a rich finish. It's Max Factor Glossfinity in Burgundy Crush! Perfect for Christmas parties and it's pretty chip resistant too. Christmas Clothing! I've only included one photo here but there could be several. These are Ozzy's Christmas leggings. They were £4 from the Primark baby girls section and they're so soft and snuggly. I have decided it's more acceptable to dress your child up in festive clothes especially when it's only early November, but there will be many more to come so if you follow me on Instagram be prepared! We also have a few pairs of Christmas pjs for Ozzy and a jumper with reindeer on. I have a huge collection of jumpers myself, some fairisle and some full on flashing santa ones! Sadly they're still in the loft until the decorations come down, but I'll make sure they all get a few wears before Christmas Day! I also have a lovely reindeer dress which I remember wearing one Christmas when teaching year 3, the class loved it. I'm also on the hunt for some lovely fairisle/Christmas tights so if you have any suggestions let me know! What are your favourite items for this time of year?! Extra points if they're from Ikea! Let me know in the comments, I'm always on the lookout for more Christmas things we don't need!
