I find putting aside time for some much needed R&R almost impossible with a baby, but it’s one of those things where if you put a little in you get so much back. See my post 'Next Time I'll Just go to a Spa' to read about the time I was ill and spent a night in hospital on an IV drip. I felt like a much better parent the next day when I came back recharged. A lot of us can’t afford a spa break when we’re feeling frazzled - whether it’s money stopping you, or time or both. However I do think it’s really important to pamper yourself a little to recharge. I’m not saying you need to spend the day drinking peach bellinis in a hot tub (if only), but this is my plan to fit in some resting and relaxing where possible – and I hope you are able to do something similar. I plan on setting aside some time, maybe once a week for 15 minutes or so. It might be when Ozzy is in bed, or it might be that he is with Tom instead, but I’m going to request 15 minutes undisturbed (that’s the dream, right?). I have some of the wonderful Spacemasks you may have seen all over Instagram, and they absolutely do live up to the hype. I used my first one after a 6am wake up from Ozzy. I felt shattered and when I finally managed to convince him to have a nap a few hours later, I wanted to take a little break myself. I opened the mask and popped it on, and sat on the sofa with a cup of tea. The mask was warm within a few minutes and the Jasmine smelled amazing. I think it was about 15 minutes of warmth overall but it felt like ages and it was such a nice way to relax. My eyes also felt much less tired afterwards. For my next 15 minute rest I’m planning on sitting in a hot bath with one of these on, I’m already so excited. Have a look at some photos of the masks below, and a keep reading for a link to the website... These masks are £15 for a box of 5 and can be bought here. You can also follow Spacemasks on Instagram here to see other photos and reviews. Whether you’re in need of a treat for yourself, or you want to send a friend something to help them relax – these Spacemasks are absolutely brilliant! I’m definitely going to be asking Santa for some, and I suggest you do the same. How do you find time to relax? I’d love your thoughts in the comments section below. If you could spend 15 minutes undisturbed – no children or husband bothering you, what would you choose to do? Huge Thank You to Spacemasks for my lovely treats, I feel well and truly refreshed!
